1. Information We Collect

Easy Handy Notes is designed to keep your information on your device. The data the app handles is only the data you create inside it:

1.1 Data you create inside the app

• Note titles, note bodies (rich text), and plain-text excerpts
• Images you insert into notes (stored as JPEG data linked to the note)
• Folders and folder organization

All of this data is stored locally in a Core Data database on your device. It is not transmitted to the developer or to any third party.

1.2 App passcode

An optional numeric passcode you may set inside the app is stored locally in the iOS Keychain. It is not transmitted anywhere.

1.3 Data we do NOT collect

• No account registration or sign-in with the developer
• No remote storage, cloud sync, or server-side processing

2. Device Permissions the App Requests

Easy Handy Notes only asks for the following system permissions, and only when you actually use the feature that requires them. None of these are used for background data collection.

2.1 Camera (NSCameraUsageDescription)

Used solely to capture a photo that you then attach to a note. The photo is stored inside the note's data on your device. The camera is never accessed in the background, never used for image recognition, and never shared with anyone.

2.2 Photo Library

When you insert an existing photo into a note, the app uses Apple's PHPicker, which runs in a separate process and does not require full photo-library access. The selected image is read into the app and stored inside the note's data on your device.

2.3 Face ID / Touch ID (NSFaceIDUsageDescription)

Used only to verify that you are the device owner before showing a locked note's contents. Biometric data never leaves the Secure Enclave on your device; the app only receives a yes/no authentication result from iOS. You can always unlock a locked note with your device passcode or with the in-app passcode instead.

3. How We Use Your Data

All of the data described above is used for a single purpose: to provide the note-taking features of the app to you, on your device. Specifically:

• Note, folder, and image data is rendered inside the app's note list and editor.
• Sort and filter operations read the same data locally.
• The lock status of each note is read to decide whether to show its content or the lock screen.

The developer does not have access to your notes, your passcode, your Face ID data, or your photos. The data never leaves your device.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone. The app does not transmit your data to any server. The only third-party APIs that may process your data on-device are:

• Apple's Local Authentication framework, which provides Face ID / Touch ID verification on your device. Apple's handling of biometric data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

No other company, service, SDK, or analytics provider receives your data.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

• Notes you keep: stored on your device until you delete them.
• Recently Deleted: when you delete a note or a folder, the contents are moved to a Recently Deleted area. Notes in Recently Deleted are permanently removed automatically after 30 days.
• App uninstall: uninstalling the app removes the local Core Data store from your device.
• App passcode: stored only in the iOS Keychain on your device. Removing the app removes the Keychain entry tied to the app's service identifier.

6. Children's Privacy

Easy Handy Notes is intended for a general audience. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under the age required by local law). Because the app does not collect any information from any user, this policy applies equally to all users.

7. International Users

All data is processed and stored locally on your device. There is no cross-border data transfer because no data leaves your device.

8. Security

We rely on iOS platform security to protect your data:

• Local Core Data is protected by iOS file-system protections tied to the device passcode.
• Biometric authentication is handled inside the Secure Enclave; the app never sees biometric data.
• Optional app passcode is stored in the Keychain with the kSecAttrAccessibleWhenUnlockedThisDeviceOnly protection class.

9. Your Rights and Choices

• You can review, edit, or delete any note or folder at any time from inside the app.
• You can revoke the camera permission from Settings → Easy Handy Notes → Camera at any time. The same applies to Face ID and Photos.
• You can export your notes as PDF or plain text from the share menu inside the note editor.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Effective Date" above and, where appropriate, surface a notice inside the app. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
