Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how GIFEasy ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our mobile application. By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

Summary

GIFEasy is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information. All GIF creation, editing, and processing happens locally on your iPhone.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or store any of the following:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, address)
• Account credentials, since the App requires no sign-up or login
• Location data, contacts, calendars, or any other system data outside what is strictly needed for the features you use

Photo Library Access

To turn a video, Live Photo, or a group of photos into a GIF, the App needs read access to the items you select from your Photo Library. Access is requested only when you tap the corresponding feature on the home screen, and only the items you explicitly pick are loaded.

If you grant "Add Photos Only" access, the App can save finished GIFs back to your Photo Library but cannot read other items. You can change this permission at any time in iOS Settings.

The selected media is read into temporary storage on your device, processed locally, and then either saved back to your Photo Library, shared through the iOS share sheet, or deleted when you close the App.

Local Data Storage

The App stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Recent GIF history: A list of GIFs you have created within the App, so you can reopen or re-share them later. This history can be cleared at any time from the Settings screen.
• App preferences: Your default frame rate, quality, resolution, and other settings you choose in the Settings screen.

All local data is stored inside the App's own sandbox. Uninstalling the App removes all of it. We never have access to this data, because it never leaves your device.

Sharing

When you choose to share a finished GIF, the App uses the standard iOS share sheet. Any sharing is performed by the system app you select (such as Messages, Mail, or social apps), and the destination is governed by the privacy policy of that app. GIFEasy itself does not transmit your content to any server controlled by us.

Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for users of all ages. Because we do not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your region), the requirements of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations are fully satisfied by design.

Data Security

Since no personal data leaves your device, the usual risks of data transmission, server breaches, or third-party access do not apply. Local data is protected by the standard iOS sandbox and any screen lock, passcode, or Face ID you have enabled on your device.

Your Rights

Depending on your region (for example the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, or other jurisdictions with applicable privacy laws), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you. Because GIFEasy does not collect or store any personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to retrieve or remove. You can clear your local history at any time from the App's Settings screen, and removing the App deletes all remaining local data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or to comply with legal obligations. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Because the App does not contact our servers, the latest version of this policy will always be available at this web address, and continued use of the App after an update indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
